Q&A
  • What does prince William do in the army and where do he and his wife live?
    • Prince William is a helicopter pilot and captain in the Royal Army and currently they live in a rented farm house on Anglesey, Wales (where price William is based for his job) and when they are in London they stay at Nottingham cottage in Kensington palace. They are due to move into apartment 1 A in Kensington palace later this year. This was princess Margaret's home and is currently being renovated at the cost of 1 million pound.
  • Equine veterinarians? Hello, I'm a 13 year old girl from Wales and I have recently been thinking about career options for when I leave school. I have always wanted to be a vet (well, since I was 4) so it's not some silly phase, I an serious about this! I currently majour in all subjects but especially in the 3 sciences. So I believe I have the brains (hopefully! Haha) and the determination to get there. I want to specialise in equine medicine and want to be one of the certified BHS equine dentist and medicine practitioners. (I hope I don't come accross as arrogant because I really am not like that its just hard to explain online) I know I need a 4 year course in a good university to complete a bachelor's degree in a subject (I want to do biology or physics). I know I'll also need 4 years in a veterinary school but what extra courses/degrees will I have to do to specialise in equine medicine? What is the average total cost? What does the average equine vet/dentist earn annually? Will I have to go to another university to get a degree in equine dentistry? And what are the best university's in the UK for studying veterinary medicine? Any help given is highly appreciated. Cheers!
    • I think you have your facts mixed up a little. When you go to university, you do a bachelors degree in veterinary medicine. This is a five year course, and at the end of it you are a fully qualified vet. You do not have to do any additional courses to specialise in equine medicine, but there are some short courses (a few weeks long) to brush up your dentistry skills, although these are usually practiced on dogs, not horses. If I were you, I wouldnt set my mind on one particular type of veterinary medicine. Many people go to university saying they want to be an equine vet, or farm vet, or small animal vet, and then completely change their mind during the course. As for which university to choose, there are very few which do a veterinary course. Youre options are; Nottingham, Bristol, Leeds, Cambridge, and the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) which is in London. There are also two universities in Scotland, Edinburgh and Glasgow, but the tuition fees are 4 times the price. The average vet earns anywhere between £20,000 when youre just starting out, and up to £70,000 if you buy your own private practice Good luck!
  • price of cinema tickets in Nottingham? Hi, what is the price of cinema tickets , showcase or cineworld mid-week evening to see Titanic in 3D

  • Help about train season tickets? hello, For season tickets does the ticket count towards return as well.. so let say I got year ticket from Nottingham to Lincoln, will it be a return so Lincoln to Nottingham as well? also I looked at prices and it is £1000 for year!
    • You will be able to return on that route as well using just that one season ticket. £1000.00 for a year seems quite reasonable. Season tickets vary on route, distance and operator. For example Cardiff to Liverpool is £8652.00 for an annual pass. Season tickets are only really value for money if you are intending to use them frequently. If you are only planning one visit every week then it would probably be cheaper to book in advance with a railcard where possible. There are several different railcards available for a small fee (approx £28.00 a year) and you can use them to get 34% discount on train travel. Advance singles are released 10 - 12 weeks before travel date and if you can fix your time and date these tickets wortk out a lot cheaper compared to flexible prices. The other option would be to look at splitting your ticket along the way. It may be cheaper to have 3 tickets rather than 1 A to B one, as long as your train calls at the stations you have booked this is perfectly acceptable.
  • how much do driving lessons on average cost in nottingham? and how many on average do you need to pass, dont say it all depends on the person etc just ovbs not the lowest prices or highest just medium plus medium amount of lessons? i need to ask my nan for some money and i was just wondering how much about
    • The average would be - total amount paid by a sample of people divided by the number of lessons the sample of people took - no one will have bothered to calculate this average What on earth would a "Medium" amount of lessons be???? If you plan on spending £1000 for everything to get through the test you will be in the correct ball park.
  • driving lessons help? nottingham? hey im planning on having driving lessons soon i was just wondering whats the average price for each lesson and on average how many lessons do u need to pass, also you know on your first ever lesson do u drive on the streets? because ive never drove before and dont have the slightest clue so ill probs crash or make a right fool outta myself :') i hope they put me in like a lil course thing first? any help would be great plus any tips for beginners
    • I suggest you do a web search and then call and ask the school. http://www.bsm.co.uk/
  • price of shuffle/transport from airport? im flying into east midland airport, and going tobe staying at the brittan hotel nottingham, want to know price of the suffle from airport this is one way only.for one person, thank you..
    • There doesn't appear to be a Brittan Hotel in Nottingham. It's probably easiest to ring the hotel and ask.
  • Why do people Support and Defend Ideals that are Unethical and Immoral? By some very basic Human ideas of what constitutes moral and ethical "right" and "wrong". A few examples from my perspective - Price Gouging, Unequal Taxation, Kicking People when they are Down, Promoting a Feudal Lord and Serf system with top money makers and companies being the modern equivalent to Feudal Lords and the Judges and Police their Sheriffs of Nottingham. Please, don't answer with questions unless they are Rhetorical, if you don't agree just say so and move on or answer the Original question to the best of your ability. I was trying to avoid edits but I suppose I have to cater to people demanding semantics. Equal Taxation means exactly what it should mean, everybody paying the same tax percentages as each other. I realize that rich people and businesses threaten to take their money and their businesses elsewhere if they have to pay a level of tax on par with the average citizen because 20% of our income may be $6,000 while 20% of theirs may be $6,000,000.
    • People value greed more than "morality". The more money you have the more "moral" you are. If you are a regular worker, you are considered a parasite. While the billionaire (feudal lord class) are considered the "creative" class. Notice all the TV shows and articles written about the greedy billionaires versus the articles and TV shows about those who are honest, moral, and ethical. I'm not talking about the COP chasing shows. Police sometimes are forced to defend the property of the wealthy while ignoring the needs of the poorer individuals.
