What tinted moisturizer should I use? I want to have a natural look. But make sure the price is under $15
    • Maybaline Dream BB cream! It's a tinted moisturizer and it gives such a natural, glowy, beautiful look to the skin. Not much coverage though and doesn't last all day unless set with a powder but that takes away from the glowy look. Garnier BB cream! They have this in the original and oil free formula for oiler people. If you have dry skin, stick with the original. This lasts much longer than Maybaline and it gives a lot more coverage if you need it. In my opinion, the Garnier BB cream is the one for you. It gives a natural look and it feels light. It's also well under 15$. They have 2 formulas which is a plus. It won't break you out. (P.S. The North American "BB" creams are actually tinted moisturizers so don't worry)
  • Whats a cheaper jacket but is as soft as North face's Denali thermal jackets? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-North-Face-Soft-Girls-Black-Thermal-Denali-Fleece-Jacket-XXS-4-5-XS-6-/290634073712?pt=US_Childrens_Clothing_Girls&var=&hash=item896085d5df I like this jacket, but It is way out of my price range, does anyone know any jackets just as soft as this one. I need WOMENS sizes. This is a picture of a girls jacket, but just to show you which one I am talking about. Thank you.
    • columbia jackets look a lot like north face jackets, and you probably can get one just as soft too try kohl's and dick's sporting goods hope this helps(:
  • Anyone know of a good dentist in Fort Myers, Fl area that doesn't clean out your wallet? I'm new to the area and looking for a decent dentist that has reasonable prices unlike what I've currently experienced! Up north, a tooth extraction is anywhere from $60-$150 depending on which tooth and the difficulty extracting involved. Here in Florida, they think everyone's a millionaire and tooth extractions start at about $300 plus! My last one was $400 and was a very simple extraction. They quote you $165 but then add on all the other incidentals until they grand total the bill at $400! The $165 is just for the act of yanking out the tooth............not x-rays, not novacaine, not any surgical supplies..............it's your basic ripoff!!! Thank you for any suggestions.

  • What schools in the north-east have strong marine biology or marine science programs? I am currently a freshmen at Penn State University majoring in Biology. I chose to go to PSU even though I am strongly interested in marine biology because I live in State College (where PSU is located), my brother goes here, and it would be very cheep. However, I've only been taking classes here for a few months and I can tell it is not really the match I was hoping it could become. So, I am considering transferring to a school with a true marine biology program. I have begun looking around and I have seen that schools like Stony Brook University in NY or Rhode Island University seem to have programs that I would be interested in, but I am also seeing mixed reviews about how "good" of a school they may be. In conclusion, I am am just looking to get some feedback on what schools are out there that might better fit me. The price of the school is not super important, but it is to be considered, and closeness to the sea or at least some large body of water is definitely desired. I've lived all my life on the east coast, and staying in the north-east is a plus but is not a necessity. I don't know much about the west coast though, so if you know of a school out there that might be appealing to me please try to include a little bit of context as to where it is, what it's near, ect. Also, size of the school and how good their sports teams are is of very little importance to me. Finally, to give you a reference as to my own academic standards, I graduated high school with a 3.6 GPA, scored a 2000 on the SATs and so far in my first semester at PSU have something along the lines of a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA.

  • Vermin and Fat Cats. How do we love our neighbour? I addressed this to Christians in the Religion & Spirituality Section, but it is essentially a global political problem. I was disturbed last night by an TV programme "Homes from Hell". With its usual diet of collapsing holiday villas came a report from North London about squatters. A bunch of squatters had moved in and trashed some millionaire's town house in the process of renovation and upgrading. It took the millionaires many thousands of pounds on court proceedings and clearing up the mess left by the squatters, only to see the squatters move around the corner to the next house, eyeing up the original house for any opportunity to move back in. The only way I could describe the squatters was that they were vermin. They didn't care. They had all the grace of rats squeaking, leaving their droppings and spoiled food over kitchen surfaces and grawing through cables and blocking drainpipes. Some were on drugs, some were dealers and petty criminals, some were East European chancers out to make a quick buck. All of them left you feeling dirty. Then we saw the millionaires - a nice clean couple who had clearly been wronged. And yet, one vermin explained - what was the morality of two people diverting a million pounds from the national pot to occupy a space in style, while denying twenty any possibility of a home life, reducing them to the dignity of rats. Lest BNP types take a superior tone about the Third World, may I remind them that the reason inflation went down was because rich foreigners were bringing down the price of Burberry and M&S style-food, while the cost of essentials continues to soar. As Christians, we are commanded to love our neighbour. If we have the misfortune to live in North London (and I have close family who do, on both sides of this divide), how can we effectively love the fat cats and the vermin? Coffee over Tea - a fine answer. There is no doubt that the veterans down-and-out because they were putting their lives at risk for us are deserving. A land fit for heros. Also those, like you, who made good use of the ladder out of the pit handed down to them from above. But what of the undeserving poor? Do we segregate the lambs from the rats? What, if the reward for your compassion and hard work, was to be robbed and thrown ourselves into the gutter, while watching those we helped get fat and smirk at us? Never say never - I think I remember our Conservative Prime Minister, when he took a pay cut, suggesting that a good multiple between the richest and poorest is 20. So if a hospital porter gets £10,000pa, a Prime Minister should get £200,000. David Cameron's salary is actually £142,500. How come then, certain segments of our society demand and get much more than this, citing global market forces as their justification? Terrier - closing time duly extended. The issue here is how do we enable the vermin to better themselves, without simply fattening them up and sharpening their claws? Becoming upwardly mobile should perhaps be as much a social education into the responsibilities that go with privilege, as the skills needed to earn the money to bring it about? Equivalent maybe to giving the Middletons a crash course in royal etiquette? Talking of royals, the Prince's Trust sets out specifically to do just this - take these young people out of their squats and offer them the skills and education to do just that. Which goes back to Never's answer - would Prince Charles have been in a position to do this if all he had was David Cameron's salary? And his son's chums Posh & Becks - who must be in a similar pay bracket to Prince Charles - would they have set up the Prince's Trust? And does society at large respect more Prince Charles or David Beckham? Or the Russian oil oligarch buying up goodies in B
    • This is an awesome example of WHY we, as a nation, as a Government, need to help our people. The rich, and Christian, and well to do are busy buying and living life to its fullest and calling the down and out vermin. I could have been called vermin at one point. After coming back from war, I basically lived on the street. If it were not for help, I would be dead. Now I am wealthy, from my perspective and have dedicated my life to the homeless veterans and injured veterans as America now has a national suicide rate of 18 per day. That is what we should be talking about. Do you agree?
  • Harry Potter Exhibition in NYC: worth it? Hi! I was just in NYC last weekend dropping my sister off at camp, and saw the HP exhibition is in NYC, and it's the final north American stop. I am going back to NYC in 2 weeks to get my sister, and want to see the exhibit. But, it is a little bit out of my price range and you can't take pictures in the exhibit. I am also on a time limit, no more than 3 to 4 hours to spend in the exhibit. Is it worth going to see, for the money? I am traveling from Massachusetts, and will be there for one day. Thank you!!!
    • You won't need much time to go through it---3 to 4 hours is plenty. I went a week ago with a few friends and as die-hard hp fans, we loved it! If you're really into harry potter (which I presume you are) then its worth it because a non-fan probably wouldn't appreciate it. I think it was worth it but if you go, do not get sucked into the expensive gift shop, the visit is costly as it is. Also, if you do go, may I suggest you stop at the Cake Boss Bakery outside of the gift shop? The cupcakes were delicious :)
  • 500hp or a motorcycle? What would you choose? So I have the option of either getting a kit for my car that brings me up to 417whp (at 1 bar), or a 600cc motorcycle. Price difference will be about $4000-6000, the bike being cheaper. Thing is though, I can only use the bike in Spring Summer and early Fall because I live up north, and only on weekends because my drive to work is farther than I am comfortable with driving it every day in heavy traffic. I can do bike maintenance myself, and I also have to pay separate insurance and buy new gear etc for it as well. The bike would be mostly used for back road riding through hills, with friends, etc. The car is my DD and is AWD so I drive it year round, and it has fairly low miles on it. So it will obviously see more use then the bike will by at least 70%. The second thing to take into account is that I will probably be caught back up next year to get a bike for next spring/summer. So it isn't like I will never have the bike either, but I just can't figure out which I want first. I plan on going to the track with either one eventually for leisure. So say money isn't an issue, what would you pick of the two? Say money comes into play, but isn't a huge deal, what would you pick of the two? OH! I also forgot to mention that I am getting a 20% discount on the kit only good for this month.
    • I agree with above...you already have the car so go for the bike. Being able to choose which vehicle you're in the mood for that day is a fun treat.
  • I am presently working in NYC but plan on retiring and moving to North Carolina in 4-5 years.? I am presently working in NYC but plan on retiring and moving to North Carolina in 4-5 years.? I make a very good salary today and collect a additional 3500 per month from pension from prior company. I Am 57 years old. I presently put the pension money away for retirement but was wondering that being Real Estate is so low now would i be better off buying my retirement home now and make the monthly mortgage payments with the pension money. My fear is Real Estate could rebound in 4-5 years and they house we want to buy in retirement could jump in price. I need additional tax writeoffs as well being i had to have an additional 1500.00 taken out of my biweekly paycheck due to not enough exemptions. What do you think?
    • well i would think it would be cheaper to buy it now, but you will have to pay property taxes on it the next few years while you are not able to move into it yet.but i would think house prices would probably be higher in 4 or 5 years from now.cause right now houses seem to be cheaper due to all the foreclosures.but just make sure your in the area you want to be in.you could change your mind in 4 or 5 years. thats the downside.
  • what are some really nice ski resorts? i want to go with a hand full of my friends. all of us are over 18 except one(17). we don't necessarily want to ski. but just want to so to a nice winter/snowy resort and just relax and eat at the local restaurants. we live in north carolina so maybe some where on the east side of the U.S. and also list prices and or a website i could check out. thanks
    • Snowshoe in West Virginia is one of the skiing area near you. Aside from skiing, you can also go Snowmobiling, Snowcat Tours, Snow Tubing and more in Snow Shoe. Important thing is you look for a smaller or medium sized accommodation for shorter stay and maximize occupancy for you to save big. You can also look for packages and hot deals offered ski resorts. • How would I genuinely convey that I want to help someone buy a car without sounding like a car salesman? How would I genuinely convey that I want to help someone buy a car without sounding like a car salesman? I have been selling cars for only 4 months now and I have been getting amazing results from being straight forward with people and helping them out. I love to help people, in fact, I actually got into the car business to pay for fire school because my ultimate goal is to be a firefighter. Firefighters only work two days a week here in Houston so I will need to have a second job to keep from getting stir crazy and I honestly think I could help people AND succeed if I continued to sell cars. My only issue is this... I get customers all the time that are liars and deceitful even when I am straight forward and honest with them. It seems like the kinder and more open I am with them, the more they take advantage of that. Its almost to a point that I don't believe a word anyone says anymore. I don't mind that people are rotten, but I think that even when people read my ads and here my offers to help them, they are unresponsive because they are expecting to be lied to. I would like to know of certain ways that I could advertise so that I can attract business and help people that deserve to be helped without sounding like one of those other idiots that are lying and cheating people and furthering the reputation of "the crooked car salesman". I have tried craigslist but it seems to be of no help. Even when my prices are posted right next to the other prices that are thousands higher, I am still getting zero responses. I work at "Planet Ford" here in Spring Texas, just north of Houston and I am at the top of the board this month. I have done so without being deceitful and I would love to make salesman of the month and show that it is possible to do while still retaining all of my morals. I have been in the oilfield my entire life and if you know anything about the oilfield, you'll know that its a "no bullshit" line of work. I would like to carry that same concept over into this business. I need to know where to advertise, how to advertise, when to advertise, etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated directly by myself and indirectly by those that I can help because of it. Thank you. lol, i think you missed the entire point of the question Edward, but in response... Fire fighters in Houston have shift work that give us 24 hour rotations twice a week: 24 on duty, 24 off duty, 24 on duty, and then 5 days off. But im trying to get some help here so, if you are going to try to shoot holes in my unnecessary information instead of help me out here, you are kinda missing the point of Yahoo Answers...
    • Well I'd say the best way to make people believe you are genuine is to not seem like you are trying to lead them in a certain direction or to change their mind about it. For example, if they are looking are a car and think they might want it, I would picture a crooked car salesman to say that it is "nonsense" and lead them to another car that is so much "better" and "reliable". You can tell the customer that he can try to find his dream car and you won't interfere with that but you are always there to help if he has questions. Make sure you point out things like if all your cars have carfax reports or w/e so they feel safer about buying the car, and make sure you say any warranties your business has. A lot of the times, people will come into a car lot and expect to be ripped off so they try to act shady just like they think u are going to be. Even so, if you show that you are a decent guy who isnt trying to rip people off, there will still be those people out there who try to take advantage. If he tries to lowball you, simply tell him you cannot sell that low and there is simply no room for any haggling. Just know what you are talking about and be able to tell him why the car is good and you won't have anything to worry about.
