Q&A
  • What top team in the Barcays Premiere League will sign? Jesus Navas from Sevilla next summer? Manchester United, Arsenal or Tottenham?Chelsea and Manchester City have enough strikers as needed so Navas won't be needed their. Sevilla are in a quite debt right now and need to sell some of their top players.Ferguson has always been a big admirer on Navas and since the world cup and past euro-cup. Navas could be the spanish playmaking winger Manchester United could use. Arsenal have Cazorla, Chelsea have Mata, Manchester United=Navas?... but also i think the Premiere League teams might have competition in case Barcelona also comes in the bid to sign Navas depending on how Alexis Sanchez year goes. Navas has a buyout price of 25-30 million euros and Navas has conquered his fear of playing away if you mention that he can't move out of Sevilla. than why would he have played the world cup and euro-cup.. and he stated himself in an interview he will open the door to any top club interested in him so he can help Sevilla in anyway he can with the debts. Thoughts?
    • Well in my opinion the homesickness could still be an issue. The World Cup and Euro's have absolutely nothing to do with it. Those tournaments last mere weeks. If he was to move clubs he would be moving on a multi-year long contract. To this add the fact that he would have to move country, get adjusted to a new language, new lifestyle, new climate, new type of football and overall a new club.. that is a massive move for someone who is attached to Sevilla so much that he declined a big money move to Chelsea while in his earlier years as a footballer. In my opinion the move to the EPL would be a bit too far for him.. but if he is to go, then I think he'll move but stay in Spain. But what EPL clubs would probably be interested in him? Well I wouldn't count City out, because I'm sure they wouldn't turn down a natural right winger, which is something they don't have at the moment. Arsenal are also a firm possibility if Walcott is to leave. Same with Man United if Nani is to go. Wouldn't count out interest from Spurs either given their previous pursuits of wingers in recent years. Another one is Liverpool, they could definitely do with a player of his caliber. Still, I think he'll move within La Liga.
  • NMFSR: What are the problems at Valencia CF? This is a more SFS related question so d07 should be able to help, but I just put it here coz I'm scared to leave MFS lol. What's the situation like at Valencia CF? Is it that this team is filled with bad replacements for the dudes they sold, (i.e Gago, Pereira, Jonathan, & Guardado). OR Is it a situation where all these years of Valencia selling their stars has finally just but them in the aßß? I know the fans are obviously irate about all this. But, are they mad more at the fact that finally when Valencia's finances start to be fixed, that they're still playing badly. I would also imagine they're simply mad at the board not paying guys like Mata, Silva, Villa, & Alba the big salaries, but that they're paying the new guys this money and they're simply not getting it done? Idk much about it so just trying to find out. @Agui ok I'll chalk this up mostly to a poor slump. But the players you mentioned I take exception to. • Valdez is in on loan so don't count to much on him. • Cissohko was more of a liability in PSG's defense than he was a prospect. • Banega, (just like Anderson), has in his career only shown glimpses of his potential. Whether its injuries or a poor run of form or bad management, he's never stepped up to his huge potential. • Guardado has just not been the same since the Gold Cup. He just doesn't take players on anymore. Even tho he has the pace for it. I think it's coz he's not so sure of his exact responsibilities when he plays. :/ & • Soldado needs service from somebody not named Jonas to carry this team to wins. But for the most part I guess your spot on. Also I was joking I'm not like a kid who's afraid to get in the pool when it comes to other sections on Y/A lol
    • Well you shouldn't be scared lol. The SFS is kind of dead.. not bad that you brought it here. alot of users here watch la liga. you can try putting it in yahoo spain. in futbol espana. you'll get alot of good answers just in spanish. To begin off their coach Pelligrino was a problem. I told Aguila , Rafaeal and the other Valencia fans here that Pelligrino was going to fail because he has never coach a team before and he is not ready for a club like Valencia yet. He needs more coaching experience. They have Valverde now a more experience coach..his recent history isn't very well with Villareal since he was sack in less than a year but his success in the greek league is what keeping him their.. Last two games under Valverde Valencia looks a bit different.. just with little more improvement they can go back to the way they were last year.. but can't judge two games yet i need to see 3 to 4 more games.. Now to the players they got this year and the past players.. No Valencia has done well even with the sells of Mata, Silva, Villa, and other star players.. I think having a new coach after having Emery for awhile affected them.. But these new players they pick up this year all had a good year last year with their old clubs. Jonathan Viera has been the best out of all them in my opinion.. Valdez has been doing descent coming in and scoring some important goals.. Gago hasn't had much luck with the injuries so far but if that gets past him he can explode in the good player he was before.. Guardado and Joao Pereria have been a bit off rythm and not what fans have expected but i think they need a bit more time to adjust to the club chemistry. I think Valverde will help bring these two players more offensive side even thoug Joao is a defender i think he had a great offensive side last year at Sporting P. Salary wise now i can't say how much they have gotten paid from past seasons..but most were sold for a high price in order to pay the debts.. economy in some Spanish clubs isn't well at the moment. The fans aren't happy with some of the new players performance.. because they haven't been meeting the expectations of the level for the club.. top clubs expect fast results.. But i think these players just need a bit more time thats it.. @Aguilucho. Canales plays better behind the striker.. he is more open to creating plays and giving good passes like he did in Racing. @Aguila: that 4th place spot will be fought good. Im confident Sevilla will get it and return to Champions League next season. @Aguilucho lol dude don't let me get started with you on essays. i just answer Faded's question directly from my point of view. Canales was never a LB.. LW. yes but he doesn't function well there. He is better playing behind the striker or central midfield to play the playing making role better
  • What should Giovanni dos Santos do…? At the end of the season if Mallorca get relegated… what options would Gio be facing and which option is best for his career? A) Stay with the team and bring it back up B) Leave to another team… presumably Sevilla or Inter Milan C) … suggestions? And which would be the best for Gio to reach his World Class potential.
    • If Rakitic, Reyes or Navas leaves he is more than welcome in Sevilla. If Mallorca gets relegated to second Division his price will have to go lower down and Sevilla could make an offer with some of money they get from selling their top players. Gio style is more for la liga and I doubt he himself would wanna move to serie A.
  • Today Ajaccio president has reviled? That he is willing to sell Ochoa for €6.6 mil and a team from Spain and one from Greece have already contacted them saying they want Ochoa for next season willing to pay the price But he said that Olympic Marseille have not contacted him yet Sevilla is the Spanish team without a doubt a few weak ago they send scouts to Ajaccio to watch Ochoa and he has done great, also Sevilla manager said he was looking at Ochoa to replace Palop The Greek team is most likely Olimpiacos
    • Greece? Nah better off in Spain. Sevilla would get him lets see how thing turn out. Cause in Ajaccio the defense sucks
  • What do you think will happen to gio? His representante is in london right now talking with tottenham and he still has a chance will Sevilla because sevilla still want him it just that tottenham wont loan him and Sevilla doesnt have too much money BQ: do you think he can convince tottenham to lower Gios price or loan him for Sevilla Udinese still wants him too but idk if they will by him He is for sale at 9million pounds
    • he will be loaned

  • How can I get to Sevilla, Spain to Lourdes, France? I have looked into flying but I can't find anything under $600.00 and that is way to much to fly 11 hours. Are there any bus's or trains? Please list website links so that I can check prices and availability.
    • Your question doesn't really make sense. You want to know how to get to Seville and to Lourdes, but you don't say from where. If it's an 11 hour flight, I doubt that a bus or train would be available. $600....but from where. Many countries use the dollar. Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, US... Check...www.kayak.com....www.skyscanner.com....for flights.

How much does the bus from Sevilla to Hinojos cost? I am looking for information about the bus service from Sevilla to Hinojos. The bus company that provides this route is Damas but I can not find any information about the price and schedule of the bus. I would really appreciate any information. Thanks.
    • I've found the timetable for Damas. There are two Seville - Huelva timetables. The one you need is the one going on C.N.431. Mon - Friday, leaves Seville 6.00, 9.00, 13.30, 16.00 and 20.00. Saturday and Sunday the same except no 6.00am service. http://www.damas-sa.es/ Just click on Horario de verano (summer timetable). There isn't any info re the fare, but bus transport in Spain is very cheap so I wouldn't be too concerned. .

Wow!!! The duck with rice (sounds more impressive in Spanish !) is absolutely awesome!!! Tucked away on San Luis in La Macarena, seek this out. Thanks to pal/travel writer Jeremy Head for the tip :-)
Personal algo maleducado, servicio lento.
