275 is a very good price. It will use about £250 worth of diesel alone for the trip on a truck. I would expect more than that to truck it from Scotland to London. The cost of transport is nothing to do with the value of the car. It comes down to the cost for the truck, fuel and driver. I have had my car recovered at more than its value before now fortunately I was not paying.
