How much would this tattoo cost and how much would it hurt? I want it on my outer right forearm. About how much would it cost, and how much would it hurt?

It will be more than 5$. Depends how big you want it, then the price varies, but most shops have a 50$ shop minimum. This is not a good tattoo to get, there is way too much going on, all the small lines will eventually turn into a blob the older it gets.. if you must get it, you could do the same thing, write brooklyn in the same font, and put in the bridge and buildings like the original. really, though if you get this PLEASE go to a shop, do your research, look at the artists portfolio (its not a picture book to skim through when your bored) look at the pictures, ANALYZE them is the color consistent and packed in? do the lines run smoothly? Not jagged and crooked? Are there any blowouts in the lines? This is a photo of a blown out tattoo. You can see in the words "liebe, allein, and gehort" some letters look like they have a "shadow" around them.. http://up.picr.de/6758921jcb.jpg That's a blowout. Also look for composition and the actual picture itself. are the images places nicely and weigh each other out? Is the artwork well done (it doesn't look like a kid or a teenager sketch that they did in their notebooks during class). This rat is bad in every way. But note the composition, see how the tribal juts out to the top, the bar wings stick out on.each side, then the tribal.on the bottom jut out to each.side as well. http://www.terribletattoos.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/winged-star-blog.jpg This next pic has good composition. See how they drew the big red circle around it? Part of composition is you don't want it unbalanced, a balanced piece doesn't have anything "jutting out". It fits together.. Kinda hard to explain. Here is the other photo. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4dqaCycasG8/T59BTvMwktI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/QXU5Pj7Qowg/s1600/Blog1_owl_sketch2.jpg Hope this helped!! And by the way, what I was explaining at first with not wanting all.those small lines, and just doing "Brooklyn" and the bridge etc. if you find a good artist, they will know how to Correctly portray the image, make it look just as beautiful, but make it work.for you in the long run so it doesn't look like a blob. just print your picture and take it in to them and tell them that's pretty much how you want it, but add that they can draw something up. Chances are, if you find a good artist, they will make it even more beautiful and astonishing than it already is.
