Performance Exhaust System Questions? I have a 1993 Dodge Dakota V8 2WD. I am planning on buying a performance exhaust system for it, but i do not have many options. I am looking for a louder rumble, maybe a mpg gain, and a horsepower gain, but thats not very important to me. There are 3 systems for my truck all about the same price. #1 is the Gibson Exhaust System, it exits in one place behind the right rear tire like the stock exit location, but this is a more common system than the others, so this may be more dependable but i dont know. #2 is the Heartthrob Deep Tone Dual Exhaust, this is not a true dual exhaust system (made with a Y pipe that braches two pipes behind the truck), plus besides the 3.5 inch tip, its made out of 2.25 inch piping when my stock piping is 2.5 inches. This has no muffler though just 22" glasspack tips, so should be a little louder than most exhaust systems. My #3 option is the Heartthrob Dual Exhaust system, this system is very much similar to the 2nd option in that this is not a true dual exhaust system, and it is made by the same company. This system though has one muffler instead of two glass pack tips and instead of 2.25 inch piping like the 2nd option it uses 2.5 inch piping like the original piping. My thought is that the Gibson exhaust system would be a waste to buy, because it does not use bigger piping, and it only exits in one place, so I think i would just be better off getting a flowmaster 44 muffler. So I have been leaning on the 2nd option, but do you guys think that since im downgrading a quarter of an inch piping that there will be more backpressure than there is now?
