  • What are some good headsets? I need to stay at or below 100 dollars. What is a good headset in this price range?
    • If you want a good headset for the Xbox 360 I would suggest the Turtle Beach X12's. They are really good and have 2 directional surround sound for listening to things from the left and right. Also, they are only $60 and don't require batteries. Here's the website if you want to look at them: http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/xbox-gaming-headsets/ear-force-x12.aspx Another good headset is the X31's. They cost $99, they are wireless, and similar to the X12's. You may want to get some rechargeable batteries though because they may go through a lot of batteries if you don't have them. Here's the website for those:http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/xbox-gaming-headsets/ear-force-x32.aspx. I also heard that the Tritton's are very good but I personally haven't used them. Hope that I helped.
  • Whats a good car for a girl like me? so I'm 16 and I'm wanting to get my first car >$6,000 thing is, I'm a total guy when it comes to cars and my eyes are drawn to expensive cars. I love super cars, old cars like the 302 boss mustang and luxory cars. But I'm looking for a car around my price range that is good for me and similar to what I'd like with out spending the big bucks. I also like cars that are back wheel drive, cuhz I like to drift, and I like cars with a lot of horsepower because I like to go fast ( I DON'T do these things on PUBLIC roads, I would NEVER put peoples lives in DANGER, I go to local TRACKS just to let you know, and not be like, you don't belong on the road lol ) I just want something that is similar to what I want & that I can drive and love. I worked hard for my money and I want something I will like and enjoy and not something I'd hate.

  • Hardware tips for a $2000 Gaming PC (Desktop) build (and a monitor)? Also, any MUST HAVE PC Games? DON'T RUN AWAY AFTER SEEING THIS HUGE DESCRIPTION! YOU DON"T NEED TO READ ALL OF IT! I am building my first computer. I only know a little bit about them from talking with my friends. I would like it to be able to play ANY game on the highest settings without difficulty. -It's gotta have a long lifespan to impress the parents -I will definitely be getting a SSD with external HDD. -$2000 is absolute max, with or without a monitor, I would like to spend about $1800-$1900 on the PC itself but I can spend $2000 on it if you don't think I should buy a new monitor. -I didn't include anything external in the cost (except HDD) so I can buy a mouse, speakers, keyboard, etc. without having to fit it in the budget. -My OS must be Windows 7 for the SSD -Intel Processor is the only way to go in my opinion. {This web address -> http://www.build-gaming-computers.com/high-end-gaming-computer.html is a $1680 PC build that you CAN/SHOULD look at to give you an idea of my price range.} -------------------------------------------------- YOU MAY SKIP THIS...YOU MAY SKIP THIS...YOU MAY SKIP THIS I appreciate ANY constructive replies no matter how short or long. I don't expect you to calculate all of the item prices, just suggest something with about the same price (maybe a little higher than) as the products from the link. Feel free to sacrifice quality in some areas and add it to others if it will be beneficial overall. Don't stress about giving me tips on all of the items, even a suggestion for one piece of hardware is fine. I don't usually award a best answer, but for this question I definitely will. YOU MAY SKIP THIS...YOU MAY SKIP THIS...YOU MAY SKIP THIS ---------------------------- To refresh your memories, I need... Monitor Mouse Keyboard Speakers & Headphones ------------------------------- Motherboard CPU (You'll really have to fight me if you want me to get something other than Intel) CPU Cooler RAM Video Card Sound Card Hard Drive/SSD Drive Optical Drive (I have BD player in my room so BD reader/burner isn't terribly important. Case Power Supply ---------------------------------- I can find suggestions everywhere but the thing I want is an explanation for why you suggest this and/or why I should use your suggestion over other suggestions... so please leave that if you can... If the part you suggest comes with requirements, (ex. SSD's need TRIM [to keep from being damaged] which requires Windows 7), please let me know. Other things that I would like to hear about are: -RAM 4, 8, or 16gb -Water Cooling vs. Fan Cooling -Intel i7 / Intel i5 -ASUS Motherboard: Many different reviews giving totally opposite opinions. (Good or Bad) -Monitor: I have a HD AOC 18" and a 40" Dynex HDTV, I am not a fan of the 18" size and the TV's size can cause lower resolution. What hardware contributes to allowing higher resolution? Should I just buy a bigger monitor? -What should/shouldn't I put on my SSD? I really want to save Skyrim on it but if it's a bad idea than I can live without it. and yes, my OS will be on it. -What do you think about NVIDIA? Is there anything that gives more bang for your buck? -Any tips that will save me time/agony during/soon after the construction of it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -On a side note, any MUST HAVE games for PC? I am into most genres. I am a 17 year old guy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Thanks for your time!
    • Here's the build I threw together for you: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=19437912 CPU: I recommend an Intel i5 2500k. It's a good CPU for gaming, and it has a lot of potential for overclock, etc. It's arguably the best gaming processor on the market. CPU Cooler: I went ahead and threw in a water cooling unit - it's pretty unnecessary because the Intel i5 2500k runs very cool, so if you want, you can change it an air cooling unit, such as the Hyper 212+ (at the lowest). Even with that budget cooler, you can get a 4.00Ghz+ overclock. Really take this into consideration, because even with AIR cooling, it'll run pretty cool. RAM: You'll never use more then 8gb, so I just chose 8gb of DDR3 1600. Corsair is arguably the best brand - very high quality stuff. It's lifetime warranty too. For gaming, you'll see that you hardly exceed 3gb of (total) usage. Video card: This is the muscle of the system - and I chose the GTX 680. This is currently the fastest single gaming GPU on the market. It'll max out any game you throw at it for the next 2 years, and will run games on a mix of high-ultra for the next ~4 years. Sound Card: IMO, sound cards are a waste of money if you're not going to use 5 speakers or more. Whether or not you want the 5 speakers (for 5.1 surround sound) is up to you. As I said earlier, I prefer a headset, which doesn't need a soundcard. HDD: I grabbed a Seagate 750gb @ 7200rpm / 32mb Cache + an Agility 3 SSD. The HDD is a very standard drive, nothing special. The Agility 3 is a well reviewed entry level SSD. It should perform well, and it's a 120gb, giving you space for the OS + 3 games / other programs like your internet browser, etc. Optical Drive: Just a standard 24x speed DVD drive. Just for installing your games, OS, and putting on music and stuff. Case: The Corsair 650D is a great case - lots of cable management options, great airflow, and pretty cool look (IMO). It has a nice window case so you can showoff your high end hardware ;). PSU: You won't need more then 650w for this build, so I chose a gold rated FSP Group 650w. You can up this to a 850w if you plan on adding a second video card in the future. Like I said earlier, you can spend the extra $115 here, or cut back on other parts, like the CPU cooler. -- -What should/shouldn't I put on my SSD? I really want to save Skyrim on it but if it's a bad idea than I can live without it. and yes, my OS will be on it. You can put whatever programs you want on the SSD - it's not like it'll be damaged or anything. I personally have my OS, Microsoft Office programs, video editing software, internet browsers, and Starcraft II on it. -What do you think about NVIDIA? Is there anything that gives more bang for your buck? They make good GPUs, along with AMD. You might as well go with Nvidia though, because they have the fastest card on the market atm. -Any tips that will save me time/agony during/soon after the construction of it? 1. Put the RAM in the mobo before you put it in your case. 2. Install the PSU before you put the mobo in the case. 3. Install the CPU and heatsink before you put the mobo in the case. 4. TAKE YOUR TIME. It's not a race, you don't want to damage anything.
  • About animal consuption. Is there any other alternative ? Well, there is a demand of animal consuption, by miiiillions of people. Poultry, dairy. Animals remain in extremelly tight spaces, and the way they are castrated and killed is not the most human. Enterprises lokk forward to economizing on time and resources in order to satisfy the demand of animal derivates at affordable prices. Organic or Bio food is not affordable for most people. Do you thing that if enterprices adapt better methods animla product would turn so expensive that people became vegetarian ?
    • Yes. I think to eat an animal you must regard it as a lower form of life. High production figures attest to this, with animals being treated as nothing more than a commodity. They are bred, fed and dead en-masse which keeps the costs at an artificially low level.
  • what is a price i should expect to pay for a Remington 700? hi i'm wanting to buy a .223 Remington 700 i've looked on Remington's website and saw that the cheapest one was at $500 but i know it is lower if you buy it at a gun store. can someone tell me what i should expect to pay. i was kinda looking at the Model 700™ SPS™ ether the compact or stainless
    • Cabela's sells a 700 ADL / scope package for $450,$400 bare rifle;700 SPS for $500-$550. I've seen 700s at Walmart for under $500. One reason I have such a hard time recommending Rems lately is because they have so many models and upgrades that unless you understand their Alphabet Soup you can spend way too much money on a rifle that won't shoot any better than the base ADL/SPS. If you want to spend $500 or more you owe it to yourself to look at Weatherby Vanguards,Tikka T-3s,TC Ventures. I could have gotten another A-Bolt for $500 few weeks ago if I needed one. Yes, Remington makes a good rifle,I had a 725 BDL Custom sitting in the rack when I was growing up,best rifle Rem made, but there are as good or better rifles out there that give you better value above $500. I personally can't find a place in my pricing matrix where it makes sense to purchase a 700 unless it was an ADL. When you are advised to buy a Remington,it is the same as someone saying a Mustang is a great car,but what if a Challenger,Camaro or 370Z is more to your liking.Won't matter how fancy, you still don't want the Mustang. If you want a 700,get the best deal/model possible, but pay for real value not a small piece of ebony wood on the fore-end.
  • How share market works? Who determine market value of shares? how share market works? Who determine market value of shares? What are the factors that affect share price? And how?
    • Who determines market value of shares? - people who are willing to pay money to buy the shares - if a company on the stock market is making money (profits) then people want to buy the shares of that company. If the company is losing money, then people want to sell their shares so that they don't lose money. There are many factors that affect share prices - if the company has contracts or markets to sell their products or services - if the manufacturing of the product doesn't have any problems - like a labor strike or a shortage of a basic component of a product - example: Company sells Rice - company might lose money if Drought or weather destroys crops. For any number of a dozen reasons - a company may fail to provide the products or services it has contracted with others, and have to use savings or other cash reserves in order to stay in business.
  • Why do I know that Obama will Not be Re Elected next year, very simple no page long rant? It's all in the Cards, or in this case...History. Let's go back 100 years, that is long enough since none of us were around then. As a former Political Science Major who took up Criminal Justice, I know some simple basic events that will establish my premise with only + or - 5 % points. In this time frame that I have selected there have so far been 3 sitting Presidents who have failed to be Re Elected due to high unemployment and slow business inventory turn over. A slow stagnate economy that is producing fewer jobs than what is needed. First: Herbert Hoover Republican 1932 Second: Jimmy Carter Democrat 1980 Third: George Bush Senior Republican 1992 Fourth: Barrack Obama Democrat 2012 I might add, that the recession George Senior lost Re Election for, was not anywhere as deep and damaging to middle class workers as the current Obama recession is. The severity of this recession coupled with the highest food prices on record is a climate that will certainly end Obama's Presidency next year. There is also Legal Criminal trouble that Obama has with Solyndra and Fast and Furious that will also help his challenger to win an early Election call on Election night 2012. The issue here is not emotion and hysteria for the Pied Piper who can mesmorize you with a sweet inticing tune. The issue is history and our American Past, which no one can change. I am sure that Germany, would like to go back in history and relive it, so that they will be the Victors for World War II, instead of America, Britian and Russia. Dissenters were saying the same about Clinton, Reagan and Roosevelt. Like I said, this is our past and it will happen again next year. Just because you do not like the Republican nominee, does not mean that he will lose. I like Herman Cain, if all the Democrats can do is get a harassment accusation from over 20 years ago. Herman Cain must be the man for the job. What about Obama's Illegal Alien Drunk Uncle who was arrested for Felony Drunk Driving. The left is delusional as they were under Carter.
    • I HOPE AND PRAY YOU ARE RIGHT.. THANKS!

  • Accounting Question - I need some help on...? So this is the Scenario: Amaya and Leon are partners in operating a store. Without consulting Amaya, Leon enters into a contract to purchase merchandise for the store. Amaya contends that she did not authorize the order and refuses to pay for it. The vendor sues the partners for the contract price of the merchandise. Q1. Must the partnership pay for the merchandise? Why? My answer: I believe that Leon must pay for the merchandise because Leon entered into the contract with the merchandise dealer. He did not consult with Amaya and therefore she shouldn’t be responsible for the cost of the merchandise. This is also because I am assuming it is a regular partnership because there is nothing mentioned that it is a limited liability partnership. Since this is true as the book states, “each partner is personally and individually liable for all partnership liabilities.” (p529) Q2. Does your answer differ if Amaya and Leon are partners in a public accounting firm? My answer: I am guessing in this type of partnership there would be limited liabilities assigned. In this case Amaya would not be responsible for the debt, but Leon would be. The most likely outcome would be the Leon would be sued and not Amaya. What I just need help with is to know am I headed in the right direction or totally off base? I am just unsure, I tried to look thru the book and online and couldn't find much to help me... Thanks!
    • You took the right quote from the book, but interpreted it wrong. "each partner is personally and individually liable for all partnership liabilities" The contract to purchase merchandise is a partnership liability. Since Amaya and Leon are partners, they are "each liable" - i.e. BOTH Amaya and Leon are liable. That's the whole point of a partnership. It's also the big risk with a partnership - you are responsible for what the other partners do. The deal with a partnership is the individual owners are liable - unlike a corporation where the corporation attains semi-personhood in that the corp is an entity unto itself. If you sue McDonalds, you sue the company, not the president/employees. With a partnership, there is no "entity" that is the corporation - the owners are personally responsible. A limited liability partnership may have some semi-entity status (depending on your specific state laws), but his is a regular partnership so that has no bearing here. As to your second question, it doesn't matter what "kind" of firm it is. Again, all partners are liable for the partnership liabilities.
